Participatory Approaches to a New Ethical and Legal Framework for ICT

Data commercialization, informed consent and security, are the key topics on which the new EU legal framework should focus and the three pillars on which PANELFIT will mainly concentrate.

Project´s outcomes will be shared through engagement and dissemination initiatives such as monthly chats, newsletters, MOOC and face-to-face courses, and public discussions.

Panelfit in a nutshell

Technical evolution in the ICT field and its impacts on the protection of human rights lead to changes in the EU regulation opening a new scenario.

Stakeholders, policy makers, and end users must adapt to them as soon as possible.

This, however, might be hard. PANELFIT, a European Commission research project, is firmly committed to facilitating this adaptation process.

Co-creation approach

All documents produced by PANELFIT will be the result of a co-creation process, involving representatives from all different stakeholders from the very beginning.

PANELFIT will perform a deep analysis of the ethical issues related to the three pillars. An Extensive Public Consultation, a set of Workshops and a round of Mutual Learning and Networking Encounters with policy makers, Stakeholders, end-users and citizens, will contribute to check and refine the analysis.
